The Number Seventy in the Bible
Seventy
Prologue
God speaks to mankind by the words he breathed through the prophets which became the bible, (1st Peter 1:10-12). These words are perfect, as God breathed them, John 1:1. For even false prophets were forced by God occasionally to speak God’s words, (see Baalam the false prophet, Numbers chapters 22-24. The prophets reveal to mankind because of a special skill God gave them to “interpret dreams, explain riddles and parables, solving all difficult problems,“Daniel 5:12.
The words of the bible are perfect in prophecy, placement and fulfillment of meaning so even every sentence, word, comma, point, jot or tidbit, smallest letter, least stroke of the pen are breathed from God being fulfilled to never pass away, Matthew 5:18. For prophecy and God’s stories of teaching, riddles and lessons, never had it’s origin in the will of men, rather men spoke when God breathed, 2nd Peter 1:20-21. For the very spirit of Christ breathed through all prophets and writers of the entire bible, knowing that someday the entire bible would be one book, a holy book of God’s words breathed to mankind, 1st Peter 1:10-11, Revelation 22:18-21.
So what does all this mean? What exactly can we conclude in all this? This means God speaks to us plainly and clearly in scripture. God gave us the bible so preachers and teachers could not change God’s words, by adding or removing words in violation of Revelation 22:18-21. For God has been teaching mankind since the beginning, with confirmation of his fingerprints being placed on history, choosing which kingdoms rise, which others fall to fulfill His eternal goodness in saving mankind from its own destruction, as started by Adam and Eve in the beginning, Genesis 3:2-6.
So why is it important to cover these things? Because to understand scripture and prophecy we need to think like a prophet. All scripture, sentences, words, punctuation, jots and tidbits are from God. This also means no one can understand the mind of God. No man is great enough to remove a word [not even one] or add another word somewhere else in violation of Revelation 22:18-21.
We can only conclude four things in all these matters. One, God is trying to speak to us, to all mankind. Two, God doesn’t trust teachers nor preachers to teach real truth, so His words were spoken to mankind word for word, so all will have this manual for entering eternal life, the bible. Three, we are to read this manual, the bible, each and every word daily seeking truth and wisdom of what God is actually saying to us, and to all mankind. Four, we are to multiply spiritually, ministering to all throughout the world, repeating God’s words, baptizing in the Father, son and Holy Ghost, or planting seeds of truth scattering seeds in hearts giving them over to God for harvest later.
How do we know this? Because God gave us the bible to solve these problems in the past. In the beginning God passed his words to man to be passed from man to man, person to person. This didn’t work because if it did God would not have changed the order of things.
So come with me. Let us study this number seventy that God repeats over and over in scripture. For God is saying something to us through this peculiar number, number seventy. Let us not make excuses that say what comes from the hearts of men, that the repetition of the number seventy is just a coincidence, just a number God likes, a holy number and of itself. Let us also say the scriptures are perfect, speaking the very words of God. Let us be like Daniel and solve this riddle and puzzle and see if we cannot see what God is saying to us through this number so we may teach others what God is saying to mankind.
Seventy
Seventy is a multiple of 7 x 10 so it appears that these numbers are related so as a side note let us consider these numbers first.
Seven
Seven is used all over the scriptures. Here are some of them, let’s look.

44.) Earth, (life), from the furthermost away toward earth is seventh in starting with Pluto as number one. Using the new planet just discovered didn’t really change the meaning much. That new planet called planet 2003 UB313.
That new planet is further out then Pluto so the count to earth is now 8 which also means day of rest and time of assembly and time of sacrifice and judgment. Also it is interesting to note counting to the sun is three, life, counting from sun to earth is also three, life.
And the evidence doesn’t even come close to ending here, but lets end the seven part and consolidate and see what God is teaching us!
So what is a one or two sentence that describes what God is teaching us with this number seven that divides into seventy so easily.Let’s try, here it is.
Surely “Seven” will play some major role in the end of time. The scriptural evidence we see of this is all over the book of revelation. God is trying to tell us something, but what?
It appears the things God has been trying to tell us using this number is hidden in some parts of the bible and revealed in other parts.
We see this number used over and over on the descriptions of both sides of this spiritual war, with man in the middle, God pulling on one side, pulling one arm, and Satan pulling on the other side, pulling the other arm, one to life and the other to death.
We see this also symbolic in the cross where the arms are raised by Jesus Christ. We also see this in the Jewish Menorah in which there are seven candlesticks, middle one being the highest and three on each side, Father, Son and Holy Spirit one side and Satan, Antichrist and False Prophet the other.
But the book of Revelation says the meaning of the book is sealed until the time of the end. The meaning of “the end”, is the last generation or right before the day of the Lord or maybe during the day of the Lord. The day of the Lord starts with the, “rapture,” also called, “taking away.” This Rapture is the “assembly” at the beginning of the, “Feast of Tabernacles,”also called Rachel tribulation, which also ends around seven years later with an “assembly,” also called the resurrection of the tribulation saints and judgment of mankind.
Since much of the book of Revelation is still sealed up it will be easier for us to look at “seven” and how it is used in the other books of the bible that are not sealed up. Then we should still get some meaning from this.
Seven means a time of rest for both man and God, (Mark chapter 2:27; Leviticus 22:27-28; Hebrews chapter 4; Genesis 2:2-3).
7=Rest for man & God
At the end of the seven God calls a sacred assembly of the God followers, (Leviticus 23:33-44; Leviticus 23:3; Deuteronomy 16:8; Psalm 7:7-8; Exodus 24:16).
7=God comes down
At the end of the seven God comes down to meet man to dwell together, (Exodus 24:16; Job 2:13; 42:7-9; Leviticus 22:27-28; 2nd Kings 5:10-15; John 4:52; Deuteronomy 16:8; Joshua 6:3-5;Â Jude 14 & Eve is 1st from Adam).
At the beginning of the seven God calls a sacred assembly of the God followers, (Leviticus 23:33-44; Acts 20:7 first day of the week, Christian Sabbath,Deuteronomy 16:8, they held a sacred assembly to teach everyone how to protect themselves in fulfillment of coming Passover; Job 2:13; 42:7-9, When Job’s friends came over to comfort him this was a sacred assembly by itself; John 4:52, when the father asked Jesus to heal his son this was a sacred assembly by itself.
At the end of the seven it is a time of judgment for sin, (2nd Samuel 12:18 Bathsheba & David’s first son died; Joshua 6:3-5, Jericho’s judgment came; ).
The time during the seven is a time that God cleanses God’s people, (2nd Kings 5:10-15; 2nd Kings 4:35; Leviticus 12:2-3; Job 2:13; 42:7-9).
The seven also means perfect completion or complete, (Revelation 1:1, seven churches; Seven spirits of God, Revelation 3:1; Revelation 1:20, seven angels of the seven churches; (Revelation 1:20, seven abominations of a malicious man’s heart; Psalms 12:6, word of god purified by God before given to man seven times; Revelation 17:9, Seven heads of the beast are seven mountains;Â Psalm 119:164, seven times a day a righteous man praises God.
Well that is enough study on seven. Now we can go to the second preliminary number to understand seventy, “Ten.” I know, I know, I really do things in depth. I know you want to get to seventy but first we must do some more foundation studies on the number “Ten.” This will not take as long as seven because there is not as much. Here it is:
Ten
1.) The kingdom of heaven is like “Ten Virgins.” five with jars of oil, five without, (Matthew 25:1).
10=Complete Number
2.) Like a woman having ten pieces of silver, (Luke 15:8).
10=Complete Number
3.) And he called his ten servants, (Luke 19:13).
10=Complete Number of God’s followers
4.) Have though authority over ten cities, (Luke 19:17).
10=Complete Reward
5.) You shall have tribulation ten days, (Revelation 2:10).
10=Complete end of persecution
6.) Ten Horns and crowns on his seven heads, (Revelation 12:3).
10=Complete Number of beasts, armies
7.) The Lord cometh with ten thousands, (Jude 14).
10=Complete Number
8.) Daniel begged the Babylonian guard, give me the poorer food vegetables for ten days and test me, (Daniel 1:14).
10=Completion of Testing
9.) (Exodus 34:28) Moses was there with the Lord for forty days and nights writing the words of the covenant on the tablets, the “Ten Commandments.”
10=Complete number Commandments
10.) Man’s hands have ten fingers and ten toes.
10=Complete Number
11.) Ten Plagues of Egypt, (Exodus 7:14-11:10).
10=Complete Plagues and amount of warnings
12.) Psalm chapter ten, a psalm about the “Time of Jacob’s trouble,” or the last generation, our generation. This especially becomes apparent in Jeremiah 30:7. Jeremiah 30:24 is the evidence that Jeremiah is talking about end of time.
10=Complete judgment
13.) Ten horns of Daniel’s beast, (Daniel 7:7).
10=Complete Number armies
14.) the ten kings that will receive authority with the Antichrist for one hour or 43.66 years, (Revelation 17:12).
10=Complete Number
15.) When you add the new planet that NASA just found six months ago called 2003 UB313 the total planet count is ten, ten planets.
10=Complete Number
I think this is enough now for “Ten.” Ten seems to be teaching us these things.
1.) Ten means God is finished, ten fingers, ten toes, ten planets, ten commandments; Exodus 34:28;.
2.)Â Ten means a time of judgment, (Exodus 7:14-11:10, Psalm chapter ten, Psalm of tribulation; Tribulation;Â Revelation 2:10, Ten horns of Daniel’s beast, (Daniel 7:7).
10=Time of Judgment
3.) Large amounts of the “Ten” in the bible seem to be associated with items in the building of God’s things, Temple. This also appears to be true with the number seven. These two numbers are repeated over and over in the building of the first Temple when Solomon built it. These all seem to mean approximately the same thing, completeness and being finished. They do not mean Holiness in my opinion for no number by itself is holy. God can use any number he wishes over and over to mean what ever He chooses it to mean. What this does mean is that God is talking to us through these numbers, possibly trying to reveal something, to a very small tiny remnant of God followers. Of course this is just one man’s opinion…
ahhh Now we can finally get to 70, the purpose of all this work!
7×10=70
This also means that the meanings of the numbers are multiplied, just a thought….
Redemption (7)
Cancelling of Debts (7)
Rest of Man & God together (7) Multiplied by
x Completion
Assembly (7)
Let’ s look at this number seventy that is here and there in the bible, God’s words and see what God is saying to us. Here they are.
1.) (Genesis 11:26), After Terah had lived seventy years he had triplets & became the father of Abram, Nahor and Haran.
70=Generation of Redemption
This tells us that probably Abram’s father also had a wife that had been barren for a long time so he had triplets in his old age, seventy years old. God is saying here something will be born at the end of seventy years.
70=Time of great Anticipation
Triplets=Greater birth pains
There is also something else to consider here prophetically. Abram was exactly the tenth generation from Noah, exactly ten which means “complete, it is finished.” It is there for anyone to count in Genesis 11:10-26. Here are the generations. Noah, Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah, Eber, Peleg, Reu, Serug,Nahor, Terah, and then were born the triplets after seventy long years of waiting named, Abram, Nahor and Haran.
So what in the world does this mean? Do you think this here is a coincidence? Do you not realize the bible are the very words of God? God is saying something here. This seventy year period is repeated all over the bible.
God is speaking about a special time that Christ also compared to a child in labor for it is in Matthew 24:8 in which Christ is talking about the beginning of this last generation and compares it to the beginning of birth pains of a woman in labor. This birth pain will be like a woman having triplets. So after seventy long waiting years of praying and waiting Abram is born and God comes down to him.
Okay lets study more on this peculiar number seventy!
2.) (Numbers 11:16-29), God says in verse 17 gather seventy elders together and I will come down to meet you all and put my spirit on you. Here it is word for word in the NIV, let’s read it:
Numbers 11:16-17
16 The LORD said to Moses: “Bring me seventy of Israel’s elders who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people. Have them come to the Tent of Meeting, that they may stand there with you. 17 I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take of the Spirit that is on you and put the Spirit on them.
So seventy here means God will come down after the seventy.
70=Time of Assembly
70=Time that God will come down and meet after the seventy.
3.)  (Genesis 12:4), Abraham packs up and leaves as God told him. He was seventy five years old.
God came down to Abram when he was “seventy”five.
70=Time to meet God.
4.) When Jacob had seventy descendants he took the seventy to Egypt where they escaped famine because they repented for their sins to Joseph their brother. Egypt to them at that time was a land flowing with milk and honey, (Exodus 1:5).
70=Time of repentance, time of redemption & escaping sin & death.
5.) God told Moses, Aron, Nadab and Adihu after you assemble seventy God will come meet you. They then offered “Fellowship” offerings by fire and went to meet God where God had told them, (Exodus 24:1-16). Verse sixteen says clouds covered the mountain for six days and on the seventh day the clouds receded and God called Moses.
70=After the 70 God will come.
6.) (Isaiah 23:15-17), Here is a very interesting verse indeed regarding the city of Tyre which today is in the country of Lebanon, so, to me this is a prophecy of the country of Lebanon in the last generation which will last only seventy years according to #7 which is next. The people of Tyre escaped the little island and crossed over into Tarshish. Tarshish is modern day Lebanon today. Notice verse 10 starts speaking not to Tarshish but the daughter of Tarshish. This means a future generation, the last generation of Lebanon. Here is verse 15-17 let’s read it:
Isaiah 23:15-17 NIV
15 At that time Tyre will be forgotten for seventy years, the span of a king’s life. But at the end of these seventy years, it will happen to Tyre as in the song of the prostitute:
16 “Take up a harp, walk through the city,
O prostitute forgotten;
play the harp well, sing many a song,
so that you will be remembered.”
17 At the end of seventy years, the LORD will deal with Tyre. She will return to her hire as a prostitute and will ply her trade with all the kingdoms on the face of the earth. 18 Yet her profit and her earnings will be set apart for the LORD; they will not be stored up or hoarded. Her profits will go to those who live before the LORD, for abundant food and fine clothes.
Notice verse 15 that says this “15 At that time Tyre will be forgotten for seventy years, the span of a king’s life.” And when you look at the beginning of verse 17 you have this”17 At the end of seventy years, the LORD will deal with Tyre.” All of chapter 24, next chapter, is about the day of the Lord beginnings, tribulation.
This is talking about Lebanon in the last seventy years before God comes down to meet man, some judged to everlasting damnation, some everlasting life. This is not talking of those of us raptured before Rachel tribulation starts.
But we need more evidence of 70, so let us study further.
7.) For God came and judged Abimelech after murdering his seventy brothers and leading Israel astray, Read Judges chapter 9 and the key verse is 56.
So after seventy God will judge the wicked and Godly.
8.) Read 1st Chronicles chapter 21, whole chapter, let’s read:
1 Chronicles 21
David Numbers the Fighting Men
1 Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel. 2 So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops, “Go and count the Israelites from Beersheba to Dan. Then report back to me so that I may know how many there are.”
3 But Joab replied, “May the LORD multiply his troops a hundred times over. My lord the king, are they not all my lord’s subjects? Why does my lord want to do this? Why should he bring guilt on Israel?”
4 The king’s word, however, overruled Joab; so Joab left and went throughout Israel and then came back to Jerusalem. 5 Joab reported the number of the fighting men to David: In all Israel there were one million one hundred thousand men who could handle a sword, including four hundred and seventy thousand in Judah.
6 But Joab did not include Levi and Benjamin in the numbering, because the king’s command was repulsive to him. 7 This command was also evil in the sight of God; so he punished Israel.
8 Then David said to God, “I have sinned greatly by doing this. Now, I beg you, take away the guilt of your servant. I have done a very foolish thing.”
9 The LORD said to Gad, David’s seer, 10“Go and tell David, ‘This is what the LORD says: I am giving you three options. Choose one of them for me to carry out against you.’ ”
11 So Gad went to David and said to him, “This is what the LORD says: ‘Take your choice: 12 three years of famine, three months of being swept away [a] before your enemies, with their swords overtaking you, or three days of the sword of the LORD -days of plague in the land, with the angel of the LORD ravaging every part of Israel.’ Now then, decide how I should answer the one who sent me.”
13 David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress. Let me fall into the hands of the LORD, for his mercy is very great; but do not let me fall into the hands of men.”
14 So the LORD sent a plague on Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell dead. 15 And God sent an angel to destroy Jerusalem. But as the angel was doing so, the LORD saw it and was grieved because of the calamity and said to the angel who was destroying the people, “Enough! Withdraw your hand.” The angel of the LORD was then standing at the threshing floor of Araunah [b]the Jebusite.
16 David looked up and saw the angel of the LORD standing between heaven and earth, with a drawn sword in his hand extended over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell face down.
17 David said to God, “Was it not I who ordered the fighting men to be counted? I am the one who has sinned and done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? O LORD my God, let your hand fall upon me and my family, but do not let this plague remain on your people.”
18 Then the angel of the LORD ordered Gad to tell David to go up and build an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. 19So David went up in obedience to the word that Gad had spoken in the name of the LORD.
20 While Araunah was threshing wheat, he turned and saw the angel; his four sons who were with him hid themselves. 21 Then David approached, and when Araunah looked and saw him, he left the threshing floor and bowed down before David with his face to the ground.
22 David said to him, “Let me have the site of your threshing floor so I can build an altar to the LORD, that the plague on the people may be stopped. Sell it to me at the full price.”
23 Araunah said to David, “Take it! Let my lord the king do whatever pleases him. Look, I will give the oxen for the burnt offerings, the threshing sledges for the wood, and the wheat for the grain offering. I will give all this.”
24 But King David replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on paying the full price. I will not take for the LORD what is yours, or sacrifice a burnt offering that costs me nothing.”
25 So David paid Araunah six hundred shekels [c] of gold for the site. 26 David built an altar to the LORD there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. [d]He called on the LORD, and the LORD answered him with fire from heaven on the altar of burnt offering.
27 Then the LORD spoke to the angel, and he put his sword back into its sheath. 28 At that time, when David saw that the LORD had answered him on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, he offered sacrifices there. 29 The tabernacle of the LORD, which Moses had made in the desert, and the altar of burnt offering were at that time on the high place at Gibeon. 30 But David could not go before it to inquire of God, because he was afraid of the sword of the angel of the LORD.

Many many things can be found out about seventy by reading this chapter. At the end of seventy comes the thrashing floor of the Lord, Judgment of mankind, separation of the chaff from the wheat where the chaff will be thrown into the fire, hell. The separation of the good fish from the bad fish in the fisherman’s net and the ones separating are the angels of the Lord.Â
But lets look at other evidence:
9.) (Luke 10:1), After this the Lord appointed seventy two (some manuscripts say seventy) others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place he was about to go.
So here Christ sent the seventy two by two ahead of himself to every town and place he would go. So once again we see this same theme repeating itself. After the seventy God went to them to see them and care for them. It is interesting to note in verse 18 when they returned the first thing that came out of Christ’s mouth was how he saw Satan fall like lightening from heaven!
10.) (Zechariah 1:12), This book is considered by many theologians to be a mini book of Revelation. Verse twelve is the most interesting to us today but I would definitely recommend you to read the whole book a couple times. Especially chapter five in which the Harlot in the basket pushed down with the lead cover is America but that is another sermon now isn’t it? Let’s read verse 12:
Zechariah 1:12 NIV
12 Then the angel of the LORD said, “LORD Almighty, how long will you withhold mercy from Jerusalem and from the towns of Judah, which you have been angry with these seventy years?”
The seventy years are somehow connected with the judgment of mankind and the redemption of Israel once and for all. You read verse twelve and then God is talking about four horns that scattered God’s people throughout the earth and then suddenly God brings in four craftsmen to rebuild God’s people. The rest of the book is about the day of the Lord and Tribulation. This is why most theologians call it a mini book of Revelation.
12.) Now on to Jeremiah chapters 25. Here they are:
Jeremiah 25
Seventy Years of Captivity
1 The word came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, which was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. 2 So Jeremiah the prophet said to all the people of Judah and to all those living in Jerusalem: 3 For twenty-three years from the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah until this very day the word of the LORD has come to me and I have spoken to you again and again, but you have not listened.
4 And though the LORD has sent all his servants the prophets to you again and again, you have not listened or paid any attention. 5 They said, “Turn now, each of you, from your evil ways and your evil practices, and you can stay in the land the LORD gave to you and your fathers for ever and ever. 6 Do not follow other gods to serve and worship them; do not provoke me to anger with what your hands have made. Then I will not harm you.”
7“But you did not listen to me,” declares the LORD, “and you have provoked me with what your hands have made, and you have brought harm to yourselves.”
8 Therefore the LORD Almighty says this: “Because you have not listened to my words, 9 I will summon all the peoples of the north and my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon,” declares the LORD, “and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and against all the surrounding nations. I will completely destroy [a] them and make them an object of horror and scorn, and an everlasting ruin. 10 I will banish from them the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, the sound of millstones and the light of the lamp. 11 This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12 “But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians, [b] for their guilt,” declares the LORD, “and will make it desolate forever. 13 I will bring upon that land all the things I have spoken against it, all that are written in this book and prophesied by Jeremiah against all the nations. 14 They themselves will be enslaved by many nations and great kings; I will repay them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.”
The Cup of God’s Wrath
15 This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: “Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it. 16 When they drink it, they will stagger and go mad because of the sword I will send among them.”
17 So I took the cup from the LORD’s hand and made all the nations to whom he sent me drink it: 18 Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a ruin and an object of horror and scorn and cursing, as they are today; 19 Pharaoh king of Egypt, his attendants, his officials and all his people, 20 and all the foreign people there; all the kings of Uz; all the kings of the Philistines (those of Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the people left at Ashdod 21 Edom, Moab and Ammon; 22 all the kings of Tyre and Sidon; the kings of the coastlands across the sea; 23 Dedan, Tema, Buz and all who are in distant places [c] ; 24 all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the foreign people who live in the desert; 25 all the kings of Zimri, Elam and Media; 26 and all the kings of the north, near and far, one after the other—all the kingdoms on the face of the earth. And after all of them, the king of Sheshach [d] will drink it too.
27 “Then tell them, ‘This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Drink, get drunk and vomit, and fall to rise no more because of the sword I will send among you.’ 28 But if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink, tell them, ‘This is what the LORD Almighty says: You must drink it! 29 See, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that bears my Name, and will you indeed go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword upon all who live on the earth, declares the LORD Almighty.’
30 “Now prophesy all these words against them and say to them:
” ‘The LORD will roar from on high;
he will thunder from his holy dwelling
and roar mightily against his land.
He will shout like those who tread the grapes,
shout against all who live on the earth.
31 The tumult will resound to the ends of the earth,
for the LORD will bring charges against the nations;
he will bring judgment on all mankind
and put the wicked to the sword,’ ”
declares the LORD.
32 This is what the LORD Almighty says:
“Look! Disaster is spreading
from nation to nation;
a mighty storm is rising
from the ends of the earth.”
33 At that time those slain by the LORD will be everywhere from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried, but will be like refuse lying on the ground.
34 Weep and wail, you shepherds;
roll in the dust, you leaders of the flock.
For your time to be slaughtered has come;
you will fall and be shattered like fine pottery.
35 The shepherds will have nowhere to flee,
the leaders of the flock no place to escape.
36 Hear the cry of the shepherds,
the wailing of the leaders of the flock,
for the LORD is destroying their pasture.
37 The peaceful meadows will be laid waste
because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
38 Like a lion he will leave his lair,
and their land will become desolate
because of the sword [e] of the oppressor
and because of the LORD’s fierce anger.

This is a duel prophecy about Israel going to serve Babylon and the world serving America Babylon the great for seventy years from 1948 + 70 years equals around 2018-2019. Then God comes with the angels and the thrashing floor to separate the good fish from the bad fish. Still need more evidence do you? Then lets go here what the great prophet Moses said in the book of Psalms 90. Here it is let’s read it:
Psalm 90:1-10
BOOK IV : Psalms 90:1-10
A prayer of Moses the man of God.
1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place
throughout all generations.
2 Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
3 You turn men back to dust,
saying, “Return to dust, O sons of men.”
4 For a thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night.
5 You sweep men away in the sleep of death;
they are like the new grass of the morning-
6 though in the morning it springs up new,
by evening it is dry and withered.
7 We are consumed by your anger
and terrified by your indignation.
8 You have set our iniquities before you,
our secret sins in the light of your presence.
9 All our days pass away under your wrath;
we finish our years with a moan.
10 The length of our days is seventy years—
or eighty, if we have the strength;
yet their span [a] is but trouble and sorrow,
for they quickly pass, and we fly away.
Footnotes:
- Psalm 90:10 Or yet the best of them
This whole Psalm is about the last generation and the end time, the Day of the Lord. Verse 10 says this last generation will live seventy years, eighty if lucky, yet in a time of trouble and sorrow that quickly passes when they fly away (raptured).
And the granddaddy of all church misinterpretations coming next, Daniel chapter 9:1-27. Let’s read it, here it is:
Daniel 9:1-27
Daniel’s Prayer
1 In the first year of Darius son of Ahasuerus [a] (a Mede by descent), who was made ruler over the Babylonian [b] kingdom- 2 in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years. 3 So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes.
4 I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed:
“O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with all who love him and obey his commands, 5 we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. 6We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 “Lord, you are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame—the men of Judah and people of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered us because of our unfaithfulness to you. 8 O LORD, we and our kings, our princes and our fathers are covered with shame because we have sinned against you. 9 The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him; 10 we have not obeyed the LORD our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets. 11 All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you.
“Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you. 12 You have fulfilled the words spoken against us and against our rulers by bringing upon us great disaster. Under the whole heaven nothing has ever been done like what has been done to Jerusalem. 13 Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us, yet we have not sought the favor of the LORD our God by turning from our sins and giving attention to your truth. 14The LORD did not hesitate to bring the disaster upon us, for the LORD our God is righteous in everything he does; yet we have not obeyed him.
15 “Now, O Lord our God, who brought your people out of Egypt with a mighty hand and who made for yourself a name that endures to this day, we have sinned, we have done wrong. 16 O Lord, in keeping with all your righteous acts, turn away your anger and your wrath from Jerusalem, your city, your holy hill. Our sins and the iniquities of our fathers have made Jerusalem and your people an object of scorn to all those around us.
17 “Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, O Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary. 18 Give ear, O God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. 19 O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For your sake, O my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name.”
The Seventy “Sevens”
20 While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and making my request to the LORD my God for his holy hill- 21 while I was still in prayer, Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice. 22 He instructed me and said to me, “Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding. 23 As soon as you began to pray, an answer was given, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed. Therefore, consider the message and understand the vision:
24 “Seventy ‘sevens’ [c] are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish [d] transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. [e]
25 “Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree [f] to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, [g] the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. [h] The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ [i] In the middle of the ‘seven’ [j] he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. [k] ” [l]

When is the end of times?
To understand this prophecy it is important to know the setting and what Daniel was praying for.
The setting is right after the fall of Babylon and the seventy years are about up. Israel was scared to go back and rebuild the temple and repossess the land.
Daniel was praying that Israel would never have to go through these type of lessons ever again. Daniel was praying that Israel would overcome sin once and for all forever and ever. Daniel’s prayer was so fervent the angel Gabrial came and told Daniel his prayer was answered in the middle of the prayer! How would you like to be able to pray like that?
The angel then told Daniel this 70 weeks thing. These seventy weeks represent seventy years only. All interpretations of this prophecy before 1948/1949 are invalid. Why? Because read the end of the book of Daniel 12:9 says the book of Daniel will be sealed up until the end. So what is the end some may ask. The end is exactly what it says the end times, the last generation. We know by the fig tree prophecy the last generation is our generation that started when Israel became a nation in 1948/1949. So all interpretations before 1948/1949 contradict scripture and are invalid.
So this seventy weeks are seventy years of celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles which is a once a year feast celebration that is a week long. If you were to celebrate the feast seventy times it would be called seventy weeks, but, the length of time would be seventy years.
Epilogue
The one week Feast of Tabernacles is a celebration to remember the time God took Israel out of slavery into the desert to dwell with God in tents. So the celebration involves building a booth that you make with palm branches and date palms on the roof and you live in this booth for one week. The number seventy and this celebration are linked and cannot be separated. This booth represents God’s people dwelling with heavenly beings, God and angels, for the forty years they wandered in the desert.
The seven day celebration is surrounded by two Sabbath days, the first one considered the first day of the celebration, really it’s kind of like eight days. The first day is like a prep day where you gather your palm branches and build the booth while dwelling in the booth getting it ready, for you must dwell and sleep there. The next six cays are spent dwelling in the booth. The day after it ends is also a Sabbath where people are cleaning up everything and having fun. The raptured Saints are dwelling with God in heaven, in the booth, while the tribulation Saints are being refined and purified in the fire of tribulation, the sheep with spots and stripes portion.
Leviticus 23:33-44
Feast of Tabernacles
33 The LORD said to Moses, 34 “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month the LORD’s Feast of Tabernacles begins, and it lasts for seven days. 35 The first day is a sacred assembly; do no regular work. 36 For seven days present offerings made to the LORD by fire, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly and present an offering made to the LORD by fire. It is the closing assembly; do no regular work.
37 (” ‘These are the LORD’s appointed feasts, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies for bringing offerings made to the LORD by fire—the burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings required for each day. 38 These offerings are in addition to those for the LORD’s Sabbaths and [e]in addition to your gifts and whatever you have vowed and all the freewill offerings you give to the LORD.)
39 ” ‘So beginning with the fifteenth day of the seventh month, after you have gathered the crops of the land, celebrate the festival to the LORD for seven days; the first day is a day of rest, and the eighth day also is a day of rest. 40 On the first day you are to take choice fruit from the trees, and palm fronds, leafy branches and poplars, and rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days. 41 Celebrate this as a festival to the LORD for seven days each year. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come; celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 Live in booths for seven days: All native-born Israelites are to live in booths 43 so your descendants will know that I had the Israelites live in booths when I brought them out of Egypt.I am the LORD your God.’ ”
44 So Moses announced to the Israelites the appointed feasts of the LORD.

So God says to begin the Feast of Tabernacles with a Sabbath day used to build the booth during the first day of the celebration. Then finish the celebration by dwelling in the booth for six more days and nights finishing the celebration upon awakening in the booth the morning of the eighth day. Then the eighth day which is not part of the celebration is also a Sabbath day in which everything is cleaned up. It is important to note that God describes the celebration as seven days and not actually including the eighth day as part of the celebration yet giving instructions on what should be done on the eighth day.
No matter which way you look at it there seems to be strong typecasts of two Sabbath days that are back to back. This must mean the Jewish Saturday Sabbath and the gentile Sunday Sabbath which are also back to back.
And after the one week celebration that the angel Gabriel told Daniel would occur seventy times, God calls these two days, one that begins day 1, other on the 8th day not considered part of the celebration itself, assembly days in addition to days of rest. The first assembly begins the tribulation is the rapture of the five virgin church. The second assembly at the end of the spotted sheep tribulation period is the assembly of the tribulation Saints when they are resurrected. Interesting isn’t it? Anybody that would like to add something? Anything someone disagrees with?
