Ezekiel’s Two Adulterous Sisters
Jeremiah 25:15-38 |
Two Adulterous Sisters                Ezekiel 23:1-15 NIV
Two Adulterous Sisters Judah & Israel   1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 “Son of man, there were two women, daughters of the same mother. 3 They became prostitutes in Egypt, engaging in prostitution from their youth. In that land their breasts were fondled and their virgin bosoms caressed. 4 The older was named Oholah, and her sister was Oholibah. They were mine and gave birth to sons and daughters. Oholah is Samaria, and Oholibah is Jerusalem.     5 “Oholah engaged in prostitution while she was still mine; and she lusted after her lovers, the Assyrians-warriors 6 clothed in blue, governors and commanders, all of them handsome young men, and mounted horsemen. 7 She gave herself as a prostitute to all the elite of the Assyrians and defiled herself with all the idols of everyone she lusted after. 8 She did not give up the prostitution she began in Egypt, when during her youth men slept with her, caressed her virgin bosom and poured out their lust upon her.     9 “Therefore I handed her over to her lovers, the Assyrians, for whom she lusted.10 They stripped her naked, took away her sons and daughters and killed her with the sword. She became a byword among women, and punishment was inflicted on her.     11 “Her sister Oholibah saw this, yet in her lust and prostitution she was more depraved than her sister. 12 She too lusted after the Assyrians—governors and commanders, warriors in full dress, mounted horsemen, all handsome young men. 13 I saw that she too defiled herself; both of them went the same way.     14 “But she carried her prostitution still further. She saw men portrayed on a wall, figures of Chaldeans [a] portrayed in red, 15 with belts around their waists and flowing turbans on their heads; all of them looked like Babylonian chariot officers, natives of Chaldea. [b] Footnotes:
Okay, now here is the significance of this prophecy.       Ezekiel is prophesying about two sisters, two adulterous sisters and this is symbolic for the nations of Israel and Judah, Samaria and Jerusalem.       One adulterous sister represents Samaria which was swept away by the Assyrians and became the ten lost tribes of Israel. They never were found and becoming a dirty word in the culture of Israel thus we had Christ telling the story of the good Samaritan that was willing, as dirty and bad as the Samaritans were, to go to great lengths to help the man who was beaten and robbed. Willing to go further than the Pharisee and Sadducees that passed the poor man on the Sabbath.        The second adulterous sister represents Jerusalem, and Jerusalem in God’s eyes is the same as Judah. These were the three left tribes, Judah and Benjamin, Ezra 1:5, plus of course the priestly tribe of the Levites. Jerusalem is where the temple was, Ark of the Covenant, this representing the rest of the nation of Israel. Notice verse 14 says this sister carried her prostitution even further, insinuating she was even worse. In other words, her sins were greater. Hang with me on this thought and you will see what I’m talking about and why this is significant.                           Discussion Questions        Okay now here’s some questions for you all.Â
Most theologians will say the reason the ten lost tribes were never found was because their sins were so great, greater than the three tribes left behind that would later be swept away by the Babylonians, tribes Judah and Benjamin, Ezra 1:5. The reason their sins were greater, they insinuate, Is these tribes were never to be found. This reasoning is wrong, as we see, in the way God describes these people is truly quite different.     These Samarian tribes went to the nations of the earth, as willed by God, for this was God’s plan of redemption for mankind. This was willed by God as a point of salvation and spreading of God’s laws to the nations of the earth. These tribes went to the Gentile Nations and would stay there until the modern Zionist movement that started in the late 19th century eventually resulting in the United Nations decree to once again decree on paper a document agreed upon by the nations of the earth that Palestine was given to Israel by God.     This insinuation has gone on since the southern kingdom was swept away to Babylon. This teaching was passed to Christianity because of the prejudice of the first Christians. This teaching was so prevalent amongst Judaens that we even see it being dealt with by Christ in the story of the Good Samaritan. The lost tribes were taught of being lower and dirty and swept away to never come back to Israel. They commonly thought these were the cursed Israelites, the Samarians enslaved and scattered throughout the world by the Assyrians to never be seen again. At least not seen until the last generation that is when they would all be called back by God to become a nation again. The lost 10 tribes intermarried and mingled with the gentiles being swept away by the Assyrians never to be found. They became the ten lost tribes of Israel.        Now the second part of this discussion. The second adulterous sister, God calls the worst one, represented Jerusalem, the part of Israel that was decreed to be slaves in Babylon for seventy years, seventy years. These two tribes, Judah & Benjamin, that went to Babylon were the ones that rebuilt the 2nd Temple and were the ancestors to all of Israel when Christ walked the earth.       Okay now here’s my statement. Most theologians say the reason Israel was decreed to go to Babylon seventy years was punishment, for the way she acted. First the ten lost tribes, Samarians, were swept away by the Assyrians. Then the rest of Israel was decreed to go to Babylon for seventy years. All theologians say there was no real meaning to this, it was just punishment, plain and simple.      If it was for punishment then God, being God, God of perfect justice would have dealt out a greater punishment then what happened to the lost ten tribes, the Samarians. Why did God punish the Samarians worse even those hers sins were less?      So why was God dishing out unequal punishments? The ten lost tribes were never found, yet her sin was less. The rest of Israel was decreed to be in Babylon for seventy years even though her sins were much greater according to Ezekiel. If this was all done for punishment reasons as theologians claim then God does not measure justice fairly. My point being that God was doing these for other additional reasoning and not just punishment. God is doing this as a shadow of future teachings and prophesies to mankind. God uses me to reveal the meaning of these prophecies right now.
This is the million dollar question.   5.  Why would God do this?     Maybe God was not doing these things to Israel for punishment. Maybe God was doing these things for another reason, to fulfill a coming future prophecy that would effect the world in a tremendous way. Let me propose to you a plausible explanation of these seemingly inconsistencies in the measurement of God’s justice. This is what I call the seventy year prophecy.     Seventy years Israel was decreed to be in Babylon, under the yoke of Babylon. This is in Jeremiah chapter 25. The NIV calls it seventy years of captivity. This is a typecast or shadow of things to come, the future judgement of the world. Here is some scriptural evidence for you. Read Jeremiah chapter 25:15-38 NIV. Here it is. Theologians that have named the NIV named this portion of chapter twenty five as the “Cup of God’s Wrath.”  The NKJV calls it the “Judgement on the Nations”, the ESV calls it “The Cup of the Lord’s Wrath”. These all do not seem to describe clearly and accurately what is in the rest of chapter 25. A more appropriate title better than all the rest is this. The Last Seventy Years and God’s Judgement of Mankind. Jeremiah chapter 25:15-38 NIV The Cup of God’s Wrath     15 This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: “Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it. 16 When they drink it, they will stagger and go mad because of the sword I will send among them.”     17 So I took the cup from the LORD’s hand and made all the nations to whom he sent me drink it: 18 Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a ruin and an object of horror and scorn and cursing, as they are today; 19 Pharaoh king of Egypt, his attendants, his officials and all his people, 20 and all the foreign people there; all the kings of Uz; all the kings of the Philistines (those of Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the people left at Ashdod 21 Edom, Moab and Ammon; 22 all the kings of Tyre and Sidon; the kings of the coastlands across the sea; 23 Dedan, Tema, Buz and all who are in distant places [a] ; 24 all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the foreign people who live in the desert; 25 all the kings of Zimri, Elam and Media; 26 and all the kings of the north, near and far, one after the other—all the kingdoms on the face of the earth. And after all of them, the king of Sheshach [b] will drink it too.     27 “Then tell them, ‘This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Drink, get drunk and vomit, and fall to rise no more because of the sword I will send among you.’ 28 But if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink, tell them, ‘This is what the LORD Almighty says: You must drink it! 29 See, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that bears my Name, and will you indeed go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword upon all who live on the earth, declares the LORD Almighty.’ 30 “Now prophesy all these words against them and say to them: 31 The tumult will resound to the ends of the earth, 32 This is what the LORD Almighty says:  33 At that time those slain by the LORD will be everywhere—from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried, but will be like refuse lying on the ground. 34 Weep and wail, you shepherds; 35 The shepherds will have nowhere to flee, 36 Hear the cry of the shepherds, 37 The peaceful meadows will be laid waste 38 Like a lion he will leave his lair, Footnotes:
Okay, now here are some things I would like to comment on Jeremiah 25:15-38. Verse 15 says all the nations. This means this cup of God’s wrath and judgement are for all the nations of the earth, all people. No one escapes this judgement. Verse 16 says God will accomplish this judgement upon mankind by a sword he sends among the nations of the earth and all people groups. This sword is Islam. Verse 26 says the same thing as verse 15, that this cup of God’s wrath and judgement is for all the kingdoms on the face of the earth. All people, all men, all creation. The end of verse 26 says the king of Sheshach shall be the last to drink the cup of God’s wrath, God’s judgement.  The little letter near the name Sheshach tells us by reading the footnote the alternate interpretation by theologians of who Sheshach was is a cryptogram for the name Babylon. So this is Babylon. The king of Babylon would be the last to drink, the last to receive God’s wrath and judgement from God. We also see in the book of revelation that Babylon the Great is the last nation to receive God’s wrath and judgement from God. Right after God brings the sword and judgement to Babylon the Great, America, God brings out the city God built, New Jerusalem down out of heaven to replace the great city man built, the best man could do, America. For God judges America over a seven year period and America falls in one day, one hour.     Okay here’s some additional questions for you all. Jeremiah at the beginning of chapter 25  was talking about Israel being decreed to be in Babylon seventy years. Suddenly God is talking about judgment of the world in Jeremiah 25:15 . Did you get that. Wake up wake up Christ Followers. God is telling us the exact time the world will be under Babylon the Great, a period of Seventy Years. Seventy Years and then comes judgment    We are surrounded by false preachers, false teachers and false prophets. If this is not the case like many churchgoers say, than why don’t the preachers read from the bibles when they are teaching? Ohhh you might see them read one sentence or two, if lucky, in a 1 1/2 hour typical church service, but, no real teaching. God has given us a real thick bible of his words to mankind. Why did God give the bible to us? Because man can never be trusted. Any time you have to have someone tell you what certain passages mean and when you look you still don’t understand, this is not from God. Why? Because the preacher and teacher is now out of sync with God’s plan for mankind’s spiritual growth.Prophesy is not to be interpreted in symbolic terms. Many times man interprets God’s word symbolically to make the bible say what he wants it to say. Don’t you know preachers have been twisting God’s words to mean what the preachers want it to say. God is gently teaching man how to become responsible for his own spiritual growth.  How do we know this? Because God gave us a bible. Why did God give us the bible? Because this was God’s intention from the very beginning of time, to have his word impressed upon our hearts. God gave us a back up plan in case we forget his words. A reference manual that we can use any time in life, any time we need to. It was God’s intention from the beginning for each individual to be responsible to God individually. God wants us to be able to go to the source directly, God’s words, the bible, without having to go through some teacher or pastor for our truth. God gave us the bible even though preachers and teachers in high places tried to prevent us from having them.Pastors and teachers will be held accountable for what is written in it. Most Christians will also. How many books are there in the bible that you haven’t read? Did you know that God tells us the future if we carefully read the scriptures with guidance from the Holy Spirit? Are you sure that what your pastor is teaching you is what God says? God says we are all like sheep, following each other everywhere and not checking to make sure it is the right way to heaven. Are you sure your pastor is leading you to heaven?Do you or have you ever heard the fig tree prophesy? This prophesy was given by Christ on the sermon on the mount in the book of Matthew 24:32-35. It is also in the book of Luke chapter 21:24-32. The key to the understanding of the fig tree prophecy is end of verse 24. After the period it says, “Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the time of the Gentiles have been fulfilled.”  This prophesy says that once Israel becomes a nation all things will be accomplished in that generation. Israel became a nation in 1948. This was fulfillment of the fig tree prophecy.According to God in the book of Psalms 90:10 prophesied by Moses the last generation will live seventy years and eighty if lucky. Do you know scientists say mankind has lived this long only the last thirty years? This same psalm says the “a day is like a thousand years in the eyes of God” at the beginning, (Psalm 90:4). This prophesy says that God’s people will rise on the third day just like Christ did, (2nd Peter 3:8). Well I’ve got news for all you Christians that believe all of your false prophet preachers that tickle your ears by stories they make up and tell during church service.Christ is coming, for all the old testament prophets teach that Israel’s and the world’s desolation would be for seventy years,(Jeremiah 25:1-38, Israel’s & world’s),(Daniel 9:2-24, Israel’s & world’s), (Zechariah 1:12, Israel’s & world’s). A peculiar thing is God also says seventy years for Israel’s arch enemy Lebanon or Tyre, (Isaiah 23:15). But God words it differently here. It says here that at the end of the seventy years she will return to her trade as a prostitute. This means that God will look the other way for the way Lebanon treats Israel. But at the end of seventy years after 1948 Lebanon will do what God tells her to do. Because all prostitutes do what those with real wealth tell them to do. They do what they are told.
Seventy years God says, seemingly everywhere here and there. What a coincidence there’s that seventy years again. Why does God use certain numbers over and over? Some theologians would have you believe that certain numbers are holy to God. This is not true. One number to God is the same as any other. God speaks to those that hear his voice in repetition. Don’t you know that seventy years pops up here and there throughout all the prophets in the old testament. Even Daniel talks about seventy years and at the end of chapter nine the angel tells him that Daniels people (Israel) are decreed to finish transgression and atonement for wickedness which leads to everlasting righteousness seventy sevens the angel says. Could it be that God is saying something to us through this number seventy?
The correct interpretation of Daniel 9:24 is the celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles, seventy years of celebrating the yearly feast that lasts for one week. All current preachers say this means weeks of years or 490 years. Then they pull out this calculator and tell you how this matches Christ’s coming as Messiah but you have to subtract this for this reason and add that for that reason, stop, think, do you really thing God speaks to mankind through mathematical analysis and equations? No, the Papal system is not part of the antichrist system, for apostle John describes the antichrist in 1st John 2:22 saying the antichrist will deny that christ is the begotten son or that he’s the son of God, God in the flesh. See this link of the Dome of the Rock and the images in the tiles that have been there since it was built. Click here. http://www.angelfire.com/journal2/dome_images/ And here are the references and translations of the inner and outer inscriptions. Click here. http://www.rippin.ca/history455/dome.htm The antichrist will say that christ is just a prophet. So the antichrist will deny what the son says or deny the witnesses (apostles) of what Christ said.     Does the Papal system do that? No, sure the Papal system has gotten a little off the road with their relics and statues of virgin mary and other saints but they still claim that Christ is the messiah, God in the flesh. The catholics are our brothers and sisters in Christ and we must stick together and stand up for truth.
They are part of the body of Christ just like all others who profess faith in repentance of Jesus and call on Jesus to save them. Just like any church though those that attend church without proclaiming the sinner’s creed are not saved by the fact they attend church.
(Daniel 11:36-37), says antichrist will show no regard for the God of his fathers, or for the one desired by woman. Christianity and Catholicism have done only good things for women. It’s Islam that has abused women historically by raping them, marrying them at unheard of young ages like ten years old. This means the religious system he represents will abuse and oppress women. It also says he will honor a God of fortresses. This means he’ll believe in having a superior military strength.
End of verse 39 says he will distribute land at a price. This means he’ll be a conqueror and will divide land at a profit.
Islam has done this historically for thousands of years. They immigrate to a country and when there is enough of a majority they suicide bomb for a while or lob grenades into public areas and churches. After doing that for a while then they elect leaders, and put pressure politicly to ask for an Islamic country within a country.
Kind of like the Nation of Islam in America that wants it’s own state in America for their people.
Another good example would be Pakistan and India. The majority Islam caused a civil war because they wanted their own Islamic country.  So after a civil war India rolled over and gave them the India territory of Pakistan, to have their own monotheistic Islamic kingdom of Pakistan.
Now they’re doing the same thing again in Kashmir. Muslim kashmir keep bringing suicide bombers in from other islamic countries, (once again Pakistan), fighting for a separate Islamic Kashmir which is really India, so the whole process starts all over again.  God describes the Islamic religion & people as locusts in the bible here and there and everywhere.
It’s interesting to note John the Baptist came eating locusts right before Christ came to mankind to save the world. God told John the Baptist to eat locusts, but why? Think about this carefully.
Because these locusts represent Islam. Islam will take over the world right before or during the second coming. Islam is like a dark cloud that appears overnight seemingly from nowhere.
Joel 2:3 says before the locusts,  fire devours and behind them is the Garden of Eden. This fire is nukes and the land they have occupied is where the Garden of Eden was, Iraq and Iran. At least somewhere in that area anyways.
Locusts always show up when the weather has already caused weaknesses in the crops, like too much rain, or too much sun. The locusts always run in packs, they never go away from the group,(Joel 2:7).  Joel 2:5 says they leap over mountains like a crackling fire consuming stubble.
Locusts always show up all at once almost seemingly overnight , then they feed on everything, someone else has already made or produced. This is Islam. This has been Islam since its beginnings.
Ever wonder why the Pakistan and India people sound the same? It’s because they are the same people.  Islam divided their land at a profit. The book of daniel says in the end the antichrist was dividing Israel for a profit, (Daniel 11:39). God speaks to us clearly, with no confusion.
It’s funny these same theologians then conclude that this pope is the antichrist or the false prophet. And the antichrist will be driving some shiny limousine and leader of the European Union, blah blah blah blagh.
No, Look in Leviticus chapter 23 and read the feasts of Israel. Notice the feast of tabernacles says Israel once a year is to live in booths for a week to celebrate God taking them out of Egypt to live and dwell with God in booths. This dwelling with beings of heaven signifies living with Christ for the day of rest or 1000 year millennium. This day of rest is for both God and man, to rest and dwell together. For both God and man have been working for the last six thousand years concerning this mankind/sin/satan problem. This was also something Peter predicted and foresaw when after six days, Peter, John and James followed Christ up the mountain where Jesus, Moses and Elijah were transfigured. Peter already knew the Feast of Tabernacles hadn’t been typecast yet so he asked Christ if he should make three shelters so that they could all dwell together, heavenly beings with earth beings. Check it out and read it in Matthew chapter 17:1-9.
God says in Leviticus 23:37-44 that the Israelite are to celebrate these feasts for all future generations and that after the end of these feasts is to be a day of rest, a Sabbath day. Us gentiles do not have to worry about these festivals and feasts according to Paul in the book of Colossians 2:16-23 but according to Zola levite all Messianic Jews and all Jews are. The point being God said to celebrate these feasts for all generations, why? Think of this very carefully. Is the feast itself holy to God? Or maybe God just wants to give the jewish people groups unneccesary feasts, festivals and traditions to follow. I think not! These feasts are not holy! God is not a God that enjoys just making us do things!
Do you remember what happens to the nation of Israel during tribulation? The whole nation gets saved. They get saved through the following of these feasts during tribulation. The understanding of these feasts and how they line up with daniel opens the book of revelation for the wise. Also Christ never went to the feast of Tabernacles in Judea in public for he was not to be crucified until the passover and the Feast of Tabernacles is five months before. His own brothers (probably James the less and Judas who both wrote books in the bible, James and Jude) recommended him to go so the Pharisees could see Christ’s miracles in Judea where Christ was crucified, (John 7:1-13). Verse 6, Christ tells us that the right time has not yet come.Christ seems to insinuate a double meaning. One, that Christ’s crucifixion must occur on the passover to fulfill the firstfruits wave offering, (1st Corinthians 15:20-23),when He’s raised from dead. Second, that the time isn’t right to come celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, even though he later attends without the knowledge of his brothers incognito. The feast of Tabernacles is a yearly celebration required by God to remind Israel that after they were taken out of slavery in Egypt God and Israel dwelled in tents together. This is for one week per year to live in a booths made of palm branches. Seventy years of this could be described as seventy weeks, or seventy years of weeks. Don’t you get it? 70 years plus 1948 equals the year around 2018. 2018 minus a 7 year tribulation is an around 2012 or 2011 rapture date.
Remember Christ said the second coming would be just like the days of Noah. People would be eating and drinking and marrying. In other words life would have them distracted from the really important things. How about you brothers and sisters, does life have you distracted from God? Please, Please, Please Comment! Selah, have an awakening on this. |
